My Tiny Morning Routine That Makes Me Feel Like a Soft Girl...

Bestie, let’s talk about mornings.

I know, I know. The alarm rings, and the first thought is usually, “Five more minutes, please.” For the longest time, my mornings were a race. Wake up, rush, spill my water, can’t find my socks, and leave the house feeling like a little storm cloud.

But then? I changed everything. Not by waking up at 5 AM or doing a hard workout. No, bestie. I made a tiny, soft morning routine. It is so small that I cannot say no to it. And now? I feel so much better. Like, genuinely happy to open my eyes.

Step 1: The No-Phone Zone (for 10 Minutes)

When you wake up, do not grab your phone. I know it is hard. The phone is right there. But bestie, let it sleep for a little longer.

The first thing I do is just lay in my bed and blink. I look at the ceiling. I look at the soft light coming through my curtains. I tell myself, “Good morning, you did a good job sleeping. We want a slow brain. A cozy brain. So just breathe for ten deep breaths. Feel your blanket.

Step 2: Warm Water, Like a Hug Inside!

Now, I get up very slowly. Like a little bear waking up from winter. I go to the kitchen and I pour myself a glass of warm water. Not hot, just warm. Sometimes I add a little lemon. Sometimes just plain.

While I drink it, I hold the cup with both hands. I feel the warmth on my fingers. I take small sips. This wakes up my stomach nicely. No coffee yet. Just water.

This small habit helps my body say, “Okay, we are safe. We are starting the day with kindness.” Plus, it makes my skin happy. So bestie, please try the warm water. It is like a hug for your insides.

Step 3: Splash, Splash Happy Face Wash

I splash my face with cold water three times. Splash. Splash. Splash. It feels so fresh. Like a little wake-up party for my face.

Then I put on a simple moisturizer. Something with a soft smell. While I rub it on my cheeks,

I say a nice word to myself. Something like, “You are pretty today,” or “Let’s have a good day.”

It sounds silly, but bestie, it works. Your face feels soft, and your heart feels soft too.

Step 4: The Stretchy Cat Move~

Now, my body is awake, but my muscles are still sleepy. So I do what I call the “Stretchy Cat.”

I stand on my mat (or just the carpet) and I stretch my arms way up to the sky.

Then I slowly bend down and touch my toes. Then I roll up, one bone at a time.

I do this only three times. No sweating. No jumping. Just stretching like a cat after a nap.

Step 5: A Tiny Breakfast!

I used to skip breakfast because I was “too busy.” But that made me grumpy by 10 AM.

Now, I make a tiny breakfast. Something so simple that it is silly.

My favorite is a slice of bread with a little butter and jam. I cut it into four small triangles. I put it on my cutest plate.

(Yes, the plate matters. Use the pretty one. Do not save it for guests.)

Then I make a warm drink. Sometimes it is milk with a little honey.
Sometimes it is a soft tea, like chamomile or apple cinnamon.

I sit down at my table. No phone. No TV. Just me and my tiny breakfast. I eat slowly.

I look outside the window. I watch the trees or the cars. I chew and just be.

This takes only seven minutes. But it makes me feel like a main character in a cozy Korean drama. You know the scene. The girl is eating toast by the window, and the music is soft. That is us, bestie. That is our life~

Step 6: The “What Will Make Me Smile Today?” List

Before I start my real work or school, I take my little notebook. It is a pink one with a bear on it. I write down just one thing I am excited about today.

Maybe it is:

“I will wear my soft sweater today.”

“I will call my mom.”

“I will eat a chocolate after lunch.”

If you are not a writer, you can just say it out loud. “Today, I will enjoy my coffee.” That is enough.

Step 7: Get Dressed in Something Soft

Last step, bestie. Do not wear uncomfortable clothes. Just because you are staying home or going to a boring place does not mean you cannot feel cute.

I pick one outfit that feels like a blanket.
A big sweater. Soft socks. Leggings that do not pinch my belly.

When I feel soft on the outside, I feel soft on the inside.

If I have to go out, I still add one tiny cute thing. A hair clip. A lip balm that smells like strawberries.
A little bracelet. These small joys add up.

Why This Tiny Routine Works So Well

Bestie, you might think, “This is too simple. This will not help.”

But listen. The problem is not that we are lazy. The problem is that we try to do too much. We think we need a two-hour routine.

We think we need to run a marathon or meditate for an hour!

But the truth? Small, gentle actions repeated every day change everything.

This routine takes maybe 25 minutes total. But it changes my whole mood. I am not rushing. I am not angry.
I am just a soft girl, moving slowly through her soft morning. And when I step outside, the world feels kinder.

You deserve a morning that feels like a hug. You deserve to feel good before the world asks for your energy.

Now go drink some water, put on your cozy socks, and be your cute self.

I believe in you. And your morning is waiting for you, softly~

And remember, bestie: your morning does not have to be perfect to be beautiful. Even if you wake up a little late, even if you forget the warm water, even if you feel grumpy at first just breathe. Start again tomorrow.

That is the secret. The magic is not in doing everything right. The magic is in showing up for yourself, even a little bit. So put your hand on your heart right now. Feel your own warmth. That is your superpower.
